People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or
a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you
will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON . . . It is
usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have
come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you
with guidance and support, to aid you physically,
emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a
godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason
you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an
inconvenient time, this person will say or do something
to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die.
Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realise is that our need has been met, our
desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you
sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON . . .
Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount
of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things
you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional
foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the
person, and put what you have learned to use in all
other relationships and areas of your life. It is said
that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Celebrity hair accessories that have rocked 2011!

Lets face it you can't help but open a magazine and drool over the fashion pages of the celebs lastest outfit's for red carpet affairs. At Wedding and Baby we closely watch the headwear, as well as the dresses and of course love spotting the famous red soled shoes ( Christian Louboutin).

Love my Dress

Well ok we don't love every dress that celebrities wear to special occasions, and there have been a few fashion disasters in both the wardrobe and headwear department but on the whole they mostly get it right.

So this blog post is in honour of the celebrity hair accessories that rocked our world.

Rhinestone Hair Combs

Amanda Holden wears rhinestone wave comb

First on the list is Amanda Holden that looked very glamourous with a low side bun accented with a rhinestone comb.

Eva Longoria wear rhinestone and pearl comb
Eva Longoria also rocked the rhinestone and pearl hair comb in her up do.

Emily Blunt wear rhinestone side comb
Emily Blunt look amazing wearing her rhinestone hair comb on the same side as her one shoulder dress.

Kate Hudson wears rhinestone feature in centre of her head

Kate Hudson looked glowing during her pregancy in an amazing light gold dress encrusted with rhinestones. In her hair she bravely adorned a rhinestone comb placed in the centre of her head.

Celebrity Headbands
Lauren Conrad wears delicate vintage rhinestone headband
Lauren Conrad went down the vintage style road with a lovely lace dress and fine rhinestone headband.

Paris Hilton wears sequinned side headband
Paris Hilton worked the black lace trend with a black fabric headband with a large sequinned side design.

Zoe Deschanel wears Delta headband
We adore Zoe Deschanel and Taylor Swift's choice of rhinestone side headband as the exact design can be found in our online shop!

Vintage wedding with an ice cream theme! Yum!

When our good friend Alison Tinlin of Plans and Presents requested some of our vintage inspired hair accessories and jewellery for a photo shoot she was styling, we were more than happy to help.
New Headband to be launched in 2012 collection "Ali"
A few weeks later I am delighted to be able to showcase the images captured by Struve Photography, onto my blog. Oh my these images have drippings of raspberry sauce, rhinestone sparkles, vintage dress, art deco themed venue and all topped off with cream. I think I am in heaven!

Rondelle and Pearl Necklace and Bracelet

Heading down to the beautiful location of Largs (somewhere I don’t visit often enough and yet under an hours drive from me) the world famous ice cream parlour Nardini’s was the location.
Nardini's Largs Scotland
Nardini’s was originally built in 1935 however it closed it’s door in 2004. It has since had a major refurbishment and reopened in 2008 restored to it’s Art Deco glory with a modern twist. Pretty much what the vintage wedding trend is at the moment!

We are extremely proud of our Art Deco heritage here in the West Coast of Scotland. When it first began to take root in Scotland, the art deco style of architecture was a cause for celebration. The Empire Exhibition, which was held in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park in 1938, enthralled millions of visitors with its sleek new designs, and inspired architects to follow its design principles.

Rhinestone Rose Heirloom Bouquet
Make- up is also important for creating the vintage feel. The lovely Sophie Edwards at who is also a stockist of Wedding and Baby hair accessories created the perfect look for this shoot. The bride wears our Rhinestone Rose comb which has gained a lot of press coverage after being featured in Wedding TV’s Bridal Boudoir. Accessorised with an ivory birdcage veil which was positioned off the face, shows that you don’t have to always wear it covering your eyes.
Rhinestone Rose Vintage Comb and Birdcage Veil
So if you are looking for a twist to add to your vintage themed wedding make it an ice cream dream. If you can't go the whole hog with the ice cream what about these fab heart shaped ice cream scoops as favours. After all, the diet can now go out the window it’s time to celebrate!

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Wedding accessories

Well this is certainly the year for royal weddings - with Kate Middleton and Prince Charles in April and now Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene.

We have to admit we just ADORE Princess Charlene's style. Very elegant dress and amazing rhinestone vintage flower hair accessory neatly tucked into the back of her stylish low bun.

Who said that unless you wear something at the front of your head that it will be lost in the photo's. We can't stop looking at her beautiful hair comb which wraps round both sides to make sure you see it from every angle.

The Scottish Wedding Directory Magazine Autumn/Winter 2011

We are delighted to hear that one of our headbands is featured on the FRONT COVER... yes the FRONT COVER of the new issue of the Scottish Wedding Directory Magazine.

The issue is out tomorrow (Sat 2ndJuly) and is the Bridal Bible for Scottish Weddings.

Louise says " Wedding and Baby was started in Jan 2009 and in a very short time (2.5 years) it has gone from strength to strength. It is not the company it was first developed to be, and changes are constantly being made. I am very lucky that the decisions and changes have worked out for the best, and all the hard work can be celebrated by gaining this massive recognition."

Louise continues " 2011 has certainly been a great year so far. I was featured on BBC Reporting Scotland, my designs have been featured on several episodes of WeddingTV's Bridal Boudoir, I wrote a bridal accessories feature for a Vintage Life magazine and now a front cover for the Scottish Wedding Directory. Tomorrow will certainly be a day to celebrate with my family, who constantly support and advice me when I am working too hard! I also have lots of amazing wedding industry friends who believe in my work and constantly inspire me to obtain my dream."

Louise is currently working on exclusive designs for some of her stockists, as well as designing the new collection for 2012. The new collection will be online by the end of year. In the meantime make sure you grab a copy of the magazine tomorrow.
