Cheryl Cole Vintage Style Headband Comb - X Factor!

Headbands with the X Factor!
Just launched the LHG Designs - Celebrity Style Hair Accessories. Mum of one Louise Graham, 32, is ensuring the ladies in the UK have Cheryl Cole's X Factor style this party season.

Louise who set up
http://www.weddingandbaby.co.uk/ almost a year ago, had been focusing on the wedding market. However, Louise has designed her own range of hair accessories that can come straight from the aisle to the dance floor!

Louise Graham, of Wedding and Baby and the designer of the LHG collection says: “Vintage style has been very popular over the last year in the wedding buisness, but thanks to Cheryl Cole wearing a vintage style headband on Saturdays X factor it shows how transferrable the style is. I have been inundated with people asking for celebrity style designs, it has blown me away. You can be sure this party season is going to be vintage headbands galore”

Not only does Louise's designs have the X Factor they also have an ethical value too. Louise having set up the business during a recession realised people are looking for value for money. With this in mind her "Casey" headband, similar to the style worn by Cheryl Cole in the X Factor has an extra twist. This headband is multipurpose, as it can be converted into 3 brooches and worn again and again. So after the party why not give the brooches as Xmas gifts! It really is that simple, anyone can convert the design at home.

Headband owner, Casey Hill , says: “I contacted Louise asking her to design me a celebrity style vintage headband. She worked on various designs for me and was very patient. The finished design just blew me away, and I am honoured that she has now made it into a collection with a design named after me. I feel like a superstar wearing the Casey headband. It's a real head turner and I love it!"

The range is being launched on the website this week and includes headbands, combs and cuff bracelets. There is also the option to hire the collection as well as buy.

SECC

Well it has been a while since I managed to get a chance to do a blog entry - to say I have been mobbed is an understatement.

In the preparation for the run up to the SECC the planning was endless - but I had a lot of fun and got to meet some lovely people, both brides and other business owners.

As always wedding and baby was set up by myself in order to give the personal touch. I truely believe that every customer should have as long as they need to decide on exactly what they are looking for and I am here to assist them with that. Listening is a huge part of what I do, and I was actually thanked by a bride at the wedding fair for this. She was overwhelmed by it all, but I knew exactly what it was she was after and she thanked me for listening to her and understanding her.

At wedding fairs like this I don't get the opportunity to speak to my customers at any length, but for those who I did manage to get a longer chat with I had a mother in tears at how beautiful the idea was! As well as quite a few brides looking round the whole show and then coming back to me to say how my designs were the best they had seen. For that positive feedback I am eternally grateful, it lets me know that my hours of work are worthwhile.

If you have been or are planning an appointments with me, I would hope that you feel that you have all the time in the world and there certainly is no pushy sales. It's just not my style.

Another huge thank you goes to Mareike Murray for photographing my new designs - her images are just wonderful and capture the vintage theme excellently. In due process I will be adding these to the site - athough already 2 of the one- off deisgns have been sold from the collection!

If your looking for a photographer for any reason give her a shout http://www.mareikemurray.com/

Real Life Bride (Grecian - Vintage theme)

We were delighted to be able to create some items for Jen's wedding at the end of July. They had a beautiful setting, getting married on the beach at Luss.

We created their Stationery, the Brides Headband, Bridemaids Vintage hair comb and the Mother of the Brides Hair comb and necklace.

These are just a few of their stunning photo's.

Here at wedding and baby we are often asked about how to hide the actual headband. Jen who is a hairdresser, shows us how her hair covered the headband!

Children's Parties

We have been busy in the month of June so only managing to do an update now.
Today we were celebrating Rowen's 10th birthday with a jewellery party. These girls were so well behaved and polite - well done girls. They also made some stunning bracelets. We had a good time and hope that they enjoyed it too.

We have also attended Katy's 6th birthday where she had a group of friends from for a jewllery party. Again these girls ( some of which were only 4 years old!), made some lovely creations. Well done girls.

More updates to follow.

Just back from Barshaw Park where Charming Angels Children's Jewellery & Craft making parties had a stall at the Make a Wish Foundation's Pram-a- thon. We had a great day, although it was sunny it was EXTREMELY windy.

PC Plum from Balamory and Raymond from Me Too were there and came over to our stall a few time - here are the photo's to prove our claim to fame!

Thanks to everyone who visted our stall and made an item. We hope that our donation to the charity was a little help to them.

BABY WON’T SLEEP – SUPERMAMMY
Here at Wedding and Baby we always like to report on local businesses that we have used personally. This month we want to recommend Donna at Supermammy – if your child doesn’t sleep, she is god send. Those local to the SECC in Glasgow may have seen her at the Baby Show, and if you are swithering about booking her don’t – just do it.
We took part in a trial she was running about sleep training. Our son at 3.5 years still didn’t sleep through the night, in fact he was in our bed most nights. I had bought the sleep training books, done the controlled crying, sleep fairy, reward chart you name it nothing worked.
Donna made up a personalised plan for our son and in the first week he was staying in his own bed. By week 3 he was sleeping all night. He now even gets up and goes to the toilet during the night by himself and sometimes we don’t even know. We are so proud of our son in his progress and can’t thank Donna enough. She didn’t teach our son to sleep, she taught US to teach him. I really can’t express my thanks to her enough. Prices start at £50, but I would highly recommend the £175 package.
Check out her website for more details
