Well it has been a while since I managed to get a chance to do a blog entry - to say I have been mobbed is an understatement.
In the preparation for the run up to the SECC the planning was endless - but I had a lot of fun and got to meet some lovely people, both brides and other business owners.
As always wedding and baby was set up by myself in order to give the personal touch. I truely believe that every customer should have as long as they need to decide on exactly what they are looking for and I am here to assist them with that. Listening is a huge part of what I do, and I was actually thanked by a bride at the wedding fair for this. She was overwhelmed by it all, but I knew exactly what it was she was after and she thanked me for listening to her and understanding her.
At wedding fairs like this I don't get the opportunity to speak to my customers at any length, but for those who I did manage to get a longer chat with I had a mother in tears at how beautiful the idea was! As well as quite a few brides looking round the whole show and then coming back to me to say how my designs were the best they had seen. For that positive feedback I am eternally grateful, it lets me know that my hours of work are worthwhile.
If you have been or are planning an appointments with me, I would hope that you feel that you have all the time in the world and there certainly is no pushy sales. It's just not my style.
Another huge thank you goes to Mareike Murray for photographing my new designs - her images are just wonderful and capture the vintage theme excellently. In due process I will be adding these to the site - athough already 2 of the one- off deisgns have been sold from the collection!
If your looking for a photographer for any reason give her a shout http://www.mareikemurray.com/
